Celebrating 100 Years of the Empire Theatre Liverpool
Celebrating 100 years of the iconic Empire Theatre Liverpool event, the centenary gala marked an incredible milestone. The theatre has entertained the city for a century, hosting unforgettable performances and captivating productions.
On 11th March, the Empire Theatre Liverpool hosted this special celebration. The evening brought together music, performances and heartfelt tributes, all set within one of the city’s most historic venues.
Designing Event Styling for the Empire Theatre Liverpool
We were honoured to design and style the event for this historic occasion. Following an on-site meeting with the theatre manager, we explored a range of creative directions.
After this, we developed mood boards and visual concepts. This allowed us to refine the design and ensure a cohesive vision. As a result, the styling aligned perfectly with the theatre’s identity and the centenary celebration.
A Cohesive Colour Palette for a Landmark Celebration
To reflect the theatre’s new brand identity, we worked with a rich colour palette of red, navy and gold. These tones added depth, warmth and a sense of occasion.
In addition, the palette flowed seamlessly throughout the entire space. This created a consistent and elevated visual experience for guests.
Creating a Statement Entrance Experience
Guests arrived to a striking and immersive entrance. We designed two dramatic balloon garlands to frame the theatre doors.
As a result, the entrance created an immediate sense of occasion. It also set the tone for a glamorous and memorable evening.
Inside, we installed a suspended balloon feature above the theatre bar. This added impact and drew the eye upward. It also introduced a celebratory burst of colour into the space.
The Selfie Backdrop and Guest Experience
One of the standout features of the evening was the dedicated selfie backdrop area. This space was designed to reflect both the elegance and the history of the Empire Theatre Liverpool.
We combined opulent red drapery with warm festoon lighting. In addition, cascading balloon garlands added texture and movement.
To complete the design, we incorporated an illuminated ‘100’ installation. This created a striking focal point and gave guests the perfect place to capture memories.
A Night of Celebration and Legacy at the Empire Theatre Liverpool
The gala itself was a spectacular and star-studded event. It featured live music, performances and emotional tributes.
Because of the thoughtful styling, the space felt immersive and engaging. Guests were encouraged to explore, interact and enjoy the atmosphere.
