Our creative director Amy has a background in Theatre and Performance Design, with a career spanning productions across the UK and Europe before setting up her own event design company. That background means understanding how space, light, texture and atmosphere work together, this is what sets Sweetpea and Ivy apart. We don’t just dress a room; we design an experience.
Alongside our design expertise, our team brings extensive experience in project management, logistics and client relations. From your first enquiry through to the final item being packed away, your event is in safe, capable hands.
Every event is different, and every client is different. We begin each project with a thorough briefing process, understanding your vision, your brand, your guest experience goals and your budget. We then develop a detailed design concept for your approval before a single item is sourced or made.

Amy is the creative cog in the Sweetpea and Ivy machine. She has a degree in Theatre and Performance Design from The Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts. Amy has worked as a designer on countless shows around the UK and Europe, making her an expert at dressing venues and stages of all shapes and sizes. She has skills in the design and creation of props, costumes and models, and this experience is channelled into her role as Sweetpea and Ivy’s lead designer. She is nearly always found in the Sweetpea and Ivy design studio, making custom centre pieces and cake toppers, styling tables and shaping and crafting vintage paper bouquets. Amy’s passion, creativity and imagination will ensure that your ideas, however unusual or unique, become reality.
As well as her creativity (Amy had to get her artistic genes from somewhere!) and passion for all things vintage, Tamar brings us a wealth of experience in both project management and customer relations from her time running an independent property development company. She is dedicated to ensuring your Sweetpea and Ivy experience is not just enjoyable and inspiring but also hassle-free.
